SIMPLE EVERYDAY ACTIONS TO KEEP YOUR HOME HEALTHY AND CLEAN
I.
Open the windows

- Fully open the windows for at least 15 minutes a day, if possible several times a day if you spend a lot of time at home: the stronger the air current, the faster and more efficient the air renewal.
- Ventilate all year round, even in winter. In general, we tend to ventilate less in winter to preserve heat, but this is a mistake. Opening the windows for a few minutes will make the air less humid and more healthy.
- In summer, avoid opening the windows at the hottest times of the day for greater efficiency.
- Remember to air out after a DIY session, a shower or preparing a meal. The main advantage of this solution is that it’s natural and only takes a few minutes a day. Get into the habit!

II.
Buy some houseplants
Paints, detergents, deodorants, solvents, etc.: there are many sources of pollution in our homes, but the good news is that you are not alone in your fight against them. Studies carried out in France (Phyt’air) and the United States (NASA Clean Air Study) show plants's ability to purify certain substances present in the air.
Naturally, you don't need to turn your home into a forest, but investing in a few depolluting plants will add a touch of decoration while protecting your health.
III.
Trust in nature
- Black soap is ideal for washing floors and sanitising all surfaces and coverings. Better still, it can be used as a stain remover or insecticide and it smells great!
- Lemon juice: citrus fruits are your friends. An excellent and natural anti-infectious, antiseptic and antiviral agent, it also has a pleasant odour and allows you to clean your home easily.
- Cider vinegar: even more effective than white vinegar, you can use it to clean small surface areas or dilute it to clean your floor. Don’t worry, the smell disappears quickly and you can even use it for cooking.
- Tea tree essential oil. A perfect complement to black soap, it will deodorise, disinfect and eliminate viruses, fungi and other microbes thanks to its antibacterial action.
IV.
The power of steam
All these solutions are simple and natural, yet powerful in the fight against microbes. They reduce environmental pollution and prevent the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms in your home. However, some objects such as mattresses or sofas harbour a large number of pests and are difficult to disinfect thoroughly without damaging them. There are only two solutions: chemical products, which are not without health consequences, or steam.

It is important to consider the power of water as an indispensable element of life that has greatly contributed to the improvement of the health of populations. As steam, it can be extremely effective in eliminating microorganisms, provided that it is properly controlled.
In the case of Laurastar DMS, water heated to 160°C transforms into 100% gaseous steam which, once released, possesses exceptional power. DMS penetrates deep into fibres and gets into the smallest crevices of objects to disinfect and sanitise naturally, eliminating up to 99.9999% of viruses and bacteria.
