The Laurastar scientific committee

Lab-L is based on the expertise and credentials of Laurastar's scientific committee. The committee is truly the platform’s central pillar, in that it embodies its mission and values while guaranteeing objective and scientifically rigorous information. The committee is chaired by a doctor who is recognised in the field of preventative health, Dr Christian Recchia, Doctor of Internal Medicine and President of the Prevention Unit of the Francophone Academy of Telemedicine (France). He is surrounded by a scientific team composed of internal and external contributors who are tasked with approving innovative, hygiene-related teaching tools.

Christian Recchia

Christian Recchia is a doctor and the general delegate of the public health committee at the Adicare Heart Institute at the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris. He is the president of the Prevention Unit of the Academy of Telemedicine, which was established in the Academy of Medicine in 2019. Christian Recchia has also been a lecturer in food and health innovation strategy at the Ecole Centrale de Paris and HEC.

An expert in innovation, she structures and helps to implement a holistic strategy. She has experience in the domestic and food sectors with the aim of preventing disease. She is motivated to help future generations in societal and environmental transformations.

Monney

Julie Monney is co-CEO of Laurastar alongside her brother, Michael Monney. Passionate about product innovation and brand management, Julie has brought an innovative market perspective to the family business. She embodies the brand’s new strategic direction for a more beautiful, healthier life. Laurastar benefits from her international experience working for large groups such as Unilever Cosmetics, Procter & Gamble, and Landor Geneva. A graduate of the University of Lausanne with a degree in Journalism, she also holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Webster University in Geneva.

Monney

Michael Monney is also co-CEO alongside his sister, Julie Monney. Primarily in charge of the sales department, he enabled the group to expand well beyond the Swiss borders, developing Laurastar internationally in Europe, in Asia and America. With a penchant for digital technology and new sources of growth, Michael has an innovative flair that he has translated to the world leader in high quality steam systems. With two master's degrees in Business and IT Management from HEC Lausanne, Michael previously worked in the Financial & Consulting Department of Ernst & Young.

Marie Bourel is Laurastar’s global marketing and scientific director. With an educational background in life sciences and a master's degree in marketing, she brings a rational eye to health-related issues through her collaboration with independent laboratories commissioned by Laurastar to certify the properties of hygienic steam. She also makes sure marketing materials are based on solid science and underpin the brand's high-end, technological image.
