AT THE HEART OF AN EMBLEMATIC EVENT

So many big names are playing at Montreux this summer! A rendezvous of music, passion and artists. A whole array of acts brings the Montreux Jazz Festival to life and sees to the well-being of its exceptional hosts. The demand overflows backstage; behind the scenes, a clothes pressing service ensures that the stage outfits are prepared, from the most refined to the most extravagant, made from all kind of fabrics, some being delicate and unclassifiable. Naturally enough, and for already a number of years, Laurastar commits itself to take care of the outfits, the removal of creases and the ironing for the legends of Montreux Jazz.

THE MUSIC AND THE ARTISTS

For over 50 years the festival has been bringing music lovers together. Exceptional and family friendly at the same time, it not only prides itself on its prestigious venues but also its numerous open-air stages. It vibrates and resonates late into the night, and introduces the enthralled public to well-known and lesser-known artists. Its programme is ambitious, and its organisation demanding as it pays close attention to the smallest details, from the sound quality to constantly keeping up with the latest technologies. And even the backstage is equipped with our high quality ironing systems.

THE LEGEND IS WRITTEN OUT IN MONTREUX

The unique gift of this festival is to create a special atmosphere and relationship with the artists. This was what inspired its creator Claude Nobs and his partners René Langel and Géo Voumard in 1967, and it is still present now. The biggest names have attended Montreux, from Nina Simone to Prince, Miles Davis in passing, Stevie Wonder and on to Quincy Jones and Sting. In 1971, Montreux saw the British group, Deep Purple write their iconic song "Smoke on the Water” which brought them to rock stardom. It was also Montreux that Freddy Mercury settled in. He built his own recording studio and created his last album with Queen there: “Made in Heaven”. An intimacy is created at Montreux with these often magical, spontaneous and passionate moments.
